Automoblox OrangeMy nearly 3-year-old son is a ‘car guy’. He can spot a Toyota Prius (the care we drive) from a mile away. He can also point out the brand of scooter my husband drives, and the kinds of cars our friends drive. When we are on holiday and are renting a car, he’s interested in the name/make of the vehicle, and will continue to point out the other matching cars along our journey. It’s really incredible, and he obviously gets this from his father because I can’t tell a bicycle from a bus.

So, it makes perfect sense for him to have a car of his own. But not just any car… he should obviously have a ‘designer’ car. Like this 2007 orange A9 compact car by Automoblox.

Of course there are other models, like the C9 sportscar, the S9 sedan, or even the T9 pick-up, but the A9 being the smallest car and looking the most like our Prius, is the perfect car for him.

Actually, what is cool about the Automoblox car collection (aside from the cool design) is that the pieces come apart, and if you own more than one car, you can start making your own designs using the color-coded system.

These wooden toy cars (coated in non-toxic lacquer) have polycarbonate plastic wheels, which are nearly impossible to break. Automoblox pride themselves on their crash-tested durability which will survive any accident (another bonus if you have boys like mine). My son LOVES his car. I’ll have to buy a few more models so he can start designing his own!

They’re cool. They’re fun. They’re unbreakable. Seriously, what more could you want with a car? Wish we could say the same about our own…

They ARE cool! And clever, as well. Like puzzels, really!
I saw them when Courtney was in Amsterdam last week (they came with both cars, the Prius and the A9 compact car :-).
