I’m sure I’m not the only woman who ‘has a thing about bags’, am I? Anyway, I was pleased to discover Junikit, at the Kleine Fabriek last month. Junikit is a company run by the two stylish sisters Katja and Sidney, who aim to produce classy changing bags and accessories for the modern, trend-conscious parent (or non-parent!). I was immediately taken by the beautiful illustrations featuring animals from different continents, the lovely selection of matching scarves, and, smart find — the little emergency first-aid kit (just perfect to pop in a bag or in the car’s glove compartment). Stylish indeed! Also nice: the bags are made from water-resistant coated cotton on the outside (all PVC and phthalates free), and nylon on the inside, so they’re super easy to clean and look after.

I’ve seen and used the HandySitt portable seat before — you often see it in restaurants here in London. But I had no idea that it is a part of a bigger highchair system. Combined, the Minui HandySitt Chair and portable seat form a freestanding high chair. When detached, the chair is a seat for older kids and/or a sturdy step stool… and the Portable Seat is ideal for travel or for restaurants, etc. Pretty handy if you ask me!

I’m loving the new tees from British brand, Dandy Star. How cool is that yellow Save the Whales tee?! My oldest son would go crazy for that. Isn’t this kite seriously something? I just LOVE it. And it flies like a rocket! Emily Gray, the cute owner and designer from Amsterdam’s awesome new label Gray Label, saw the most amazing pirate ship kites flying around on a beach in Bali. She soon discovered they were handmade by a Balinese father called Mâdé and his 2 sons, and placed an order with them to customise some of their kites in the Gray Label denim colour. How cool and unique are they — to play with, but also to decorate your kids room!!!
