Kimberley Schwede of Bebe Bilingual recently sent me some of the cute educational language goodies from her Etsy shop, and we are having such fun learning a bit of French and Spanish. We’ve been using the bilingual placemats at meal times and it has inspired some fun dinner conversations and lots of counting in other languages. I think we’re ready for a trip to France! Or Spain! Or even Mexico (I could really use the sunshine)!!
Raising bilingual children often feels like the norm here in London. One of my closest friends is Swedish, married to a French man, and they are raising their kids here in London… so they speak three different languages as a family. So cool! And take Emilie who speaks English, French and German and is teaching her kids to speak the same. I’m so jealous. Anyway… with a little help from Bebe Bilingual, we are at least giving our kids some basic understanding of other languages. Good enough, I reckon, for a sunny holiday to South America (I wish!).
