DIY: sock puppets

I think it is a classic to make puppets out of socks. But it is something we have never done at home. Last weekend we finally did it and it is a nice way to spend an evening. It is a really easy DIY and very fun. I  very much like changing “normal” things into toys.

Simple but fun! And great for all the free time during wintery afternons!

We have a puppet, Rocco the pig, who is able to get my daughter to brush her teeth, put away her clothes, and finish her dinner. He has taken on a personality of his own. Bottom line, Puppets RULE!

Being a first time parent following an extremely long pregnancy (41 weeks!) I couldn’t wait for my daughter to grow up enough to play with her! Now she is 2 yrs 4 mths and loves to do all sorts of crafts for kids. She loves cutting up mgazines with me and sticking them in her cuttings book! I’m going to try sock puppets next!
