My knitting range consists of making scarves. I can make short ones, long ones, wide ones and thin ones, but they will always be just a scarf. In contrast, my mother was a able to make us the most complicated jumpers with colours and all sorts of things, back in the day when no one had ever heard of a fleece.
If you are a bit nostalgic for those lovely old-fashioned knits, check out Made by Mabel. The designs remind me of the sweaters my mother used to make. Each piece is handcrafted, often knitted by hand in the UK. The big difference to the sweaters of my childhood and the ones by Made by Mabel, is that my jumpers were scratchy, while these ones are made out of very soft wool. Even little Violette, who hates anything scratchy, approves.
