Ada Ada Tights

I don’t think there is anything more frustrating in life than waking your child up in the morning, trying to get her to dress in a hurry in order to get her to school on time… and then being told: “I don’t like that outfit!” This is not a debate to be had at 7.30 in the morning. Are your kids that picky?

One of the main areas of debate is the refusal of jeans and trousers. Have these 5-year-olds never heard about the feminist movement and how hard our female ancestors picketed not to have to wear skirts? We are coming full circle! Though I am morally opposed, I do often give in, so there are a lot of little warm winter tights being paired up with dresses and skirts over here in my flat in Paris.

I love these simple, warm and comfortable tights by one of my favourite labels Ada Ada. They go with everything and are a very good backup solution to those jeans that are never going to be worn!

I feel your pain! thank goodness it is not just me. Without fail, we have a fashion crisis on a daily basis – usually about two minutes before we have to walk out the door. Neither of my girls will wear jeans so I am a slave to the tights/leggings with dress routine every day. I am going to load up on these tights for the winter….

Nooo, you are definitely not alone. My 3.5 year-old won’t wear jeans or even jeggings (she won’t be fooled into believing they’re really just denim-coloured leggings). I am constantly battling against “pink and twirly” over here. What’s the point of wearing a tutu if it invariably comes back from playschool caked in mud?! Sigh.

only dresses and skirts for my 5 year old. even leggings are a no-no. though my 2.5 year old daughter loves navy blue, pirates, leggings, trousers and calls herself Roger! (from Swallows and Amazons)

That brings back memories, I loved Swallows and Amazons as a kid!

Well I have a son so I’m not battling the skirt vs jeans issue, but he absolutely refuses to wear trousers and insists on wearing his summer shorts. Its getting cold here. I’ve tried getting him to wear long socks but he rolls them down to his ankles – says he doesn’t like anything touching his legs.
