Minnetonka
My daughter Coco has a vivid imagination. A short while ago she was scared of nothing, as she was a Viking, fearless of dragons and intent on saving her villagers (she was studying Vikings at school). Before that I was only allowed to address her as Jane (as in the little girl in Mary Poppins) and now her name is Pocahontas, the Indian Princess. I wonder at what age children start losing these notions?
Pocahontas actually fits at the moment, as I have just gotten Coco a pair of mocassins from the great new children’s shoe webshop, My Little Attitude. They’re perfect for tramping around in. Minnetonka’s have been made in the same factory in Minnesota since the middle of the last century — they are the real deal. They look super cute with a pair of jeans tucked into them or with Coco’s staple look: a pair of tights and a tunic.
