Fly Away Peter
October 26, 2010
Do you know the story of Jeffrey the giraffe with a short neck and Peter the bird who could not fly? Fly Away Peter, written by Frank Dickens, was first released in 1963 but has long been out of print. It was recently re-released and illustrated by the famous and award-winning Ralph Steadman (a cartoonist and caricaturist known for his work for the New York Times and Rolling Stone). Steadman’s beautiful illustrations maintain the sixties feel of the original book and it is this retro feel of both the story and the illustrations which makes it so lovely. Our new favourite! You can buy it from our Bookshop (US and Europe).
