Severina Dolls

My daughter Violette has a new friend. Her name is Severina and it was love at first sight. Violette has the slight problem of being the younger child so she does not often get new toys as there are already so many around.  She also has a beloved older sister who is cunning enough to often manipulate her into giving away her toys.  But with Severina, Violette will not budge an inch.

And I understand the love — the Severina dolls are gorgeous. They are each individually hand made in Spain and have the loveliest outfits, and there is such attention to detail. I actually love the whole Severina Kids collection — the knitted animals are too cute and so are the little stuffed animals.

thanks so much for this. i have been looking at dolls on etsy and it just impossible to wade through all the junk to find things like this. can you tell me – for babies/toddlers are these type of fabric type dolls better than more recognizable plastic styles ones you get in regular toy shops? i’m not sure how the age thing works re dolls and little girls. thanks.

Gabrielle, I think both work. My girls both were given little baby dolls with plastic heads and a soft body and loved them dearly. I think they were around 1.5 when they started playing with them. Now, at 2.5 and 4 they actually prefer more grown up dolls. They actually now are playing a lot more elaborate games with lots of different characters involved….
