BabySpareWear

sparewear.jpgBabySpareWear is a very simple, yet ingenious, product that simplifies a mum’s life — a flat plastic zip-locked bag that contains a full change of clothes for babies and toddlers. The baby kit contains a pair of trousers, a short-sleeved t-shirt and a long-sleeved one all in very simple colours. I have the chocolate/pink/grey one with contrasting hems, which will easily match any of my daughter’s outfits. The cotton is lightweight and very stretchy, which means it’s so easy to pull them on in the middle of a panic moment — in a public toilet or in the park!
Just keep it stocked in your diaper bag, or even at the bottom of the pushchair basket (the bag can accommodate a diaper too) or bring it to school as a spare outfit. No wonder it was #16 in the babble list of the top 25 morning timesavers!
It’s an American invention, but in Europe you can get them from a new lovely online shop called monsieur minouchet.

Belgian-based mum Catherine, maman minouchet, has created a lovely and cool mix of clothes, toys and equipment for children by looking for new products by lesser known producers. Sometimes organic, sometimes hand-made, sometimes useful, sometimes just beautiful. Her idea of children’s fashion is one that many modern mums share — mix a few cute trendy  special pieces with simple basics from the big brands. That’s why there’s such a big selection of t-shirts; a hip tee will make your kid stand out without shelling out a fortune and you can wear it all year long over a pair of denims.
The website is only in French but she is working on an English version and she delivers worldwide; just email her if you don’t see your country listed.

And you know what’s the best part? She is a big fan of babyccino and she told us she was inspired by our posts when she picked some of the products for her shop. Now, that’s flattering!
