Enter any average kid’s store these days and you’ll be overwhelmed by the amount of prints, slogans, embroidered butterflies, flowers, etc. This is great if you’re into this… but if you’re like me and prefer to see your children in a simple pinafore dress or overalls with a plain-coloured T-shirt underneath, you know how difficult it is to find good, simple basics in plain colours – without having to pay a fortune.

Rainbowbabies sells T-shirts, onesies and much more in a variety of great colours (the obvious ones, but also grey, brown, black and anthracite)! They are good-fitting and are not too wide around the neck (smaller sizes have 2 buttons at the shoulder). Clothing is made from 100% combed cotton and can be washed at 40 degrees. Sizes run big, but shrinkage is calculated so after washing them, the garments will shrink down to their proper size (remember that this is a Dutch company, so they will still run quite big)! Even the dryer is okay if you allow for a bit more shrinkage.

If you check out the site, make sure you play around for a bit with the combi studio – it’s great fun!
Their return policy is a generous 90 days (these people do understand us very busy mums)! At least € 0,25 per order is donated to an SOS Children’s Village in Thailand, and they ship all over the world for reasonable prices.
