For petit bateau on sale in paris, you will find a much better choice and supply than Sympa at this store at the guy moquet metro stop (LPB: 48-49, rue Guy Moquet) — they also sell numerous baby items at a discount (major brands like beaba, maclaren, etc.). the onesies are about 3 euros and pyjamas less than 10 for example.

Michele, I knew I had forgotten something, thanks reminding me of Sympa. I also often find Petit Bateau for 1 Euro at the Bastille Market on Thursday mornings on boulevard Richard Lenoir… Katell, I will think about some good places in London, maybe Courtney and Mo have sole ideas!

If you’re feeling sporty, patient and brave, you can find very, very good deals at Sympa in the 18th: Petit Bateau t-shirts and onesies for 1EU and clothing from Natalys, Sergent Major, and DPAM at next to nothing.

I have found some nice things at John Lewis, but you have to be lucky… Vertbaudet also ships to London….
I would also be interested to find out about other places!

I’m a french mum and I agree with you. I try to find the same kind of clothes in London (price/quality) but I can’t find anything except gap, Zara, H&M. Have you got any idea to help me ?

I like DPAM, but I agree for older kids you have to browse to find the good pieces.

monop is great- found some nice items there last time in paris
DPAM- I was disappointed with the quality and I think the baby collection is cuter than for ” older” kids

Another great one is Z (http://www.z-enfant.com/). Their stuff for babies up to 2 years old is very cute and in the same price range as DPAM but more stylish, I think.

DPAM is very good for basics though. They also have a shoe shop in the 6th arrondissement

I visited Monoprix last time I was in Paris and found some great stuff for my kids. Some of the new baby items reminded me of Petit Bateau!

Will def check out the other shops when in Paris!
