Aunty Ollie trench coat and hat

It is starting to get cold, grey and wet over here in otherwise gay Paris and it makes me yearn for all things warm, colourful and above all weatherproof! Especially for my kids!
I recently got a stinkin’ cute trench coat for my daughter from Aunty Ollie and she looks like such a funky young lady in it. It is fantastically well made and there are lots of lovely little details on it.
I also got her a hat, as I have become a rain hat convert. Sure, there is the minor detail that they have the tendency to lose their hats, but apart from that, they are great –they stay on the kids’ head (as opposed to a hood that always blows off) and the wide brim keeps them nice and dry.
The ironic thing is that Aunty Ollie’s designer, Australian Jodie Hampshire, is based in Dubai, so she must be having a hard time trying to imagine what is needed here in our cold winter climate. But she manages, and her designs are spot on. The trench is a winner!
