Mouk

mouk.jpgThe book Mouk is the all time favourite of every member of our household alike, be they a toddler, a pre-schooler, a parent, a teddy bear or a doll.

Mouk is illustrated and written by the very talented French illustrator, Marc Bouvant, and follows a little bear called Mouk on a trip around the world on his bicycle. He visits Lappland, Madagascar, India and lots of other countries. The genius thing about this book is that there isn’t really any story.  Each page is covered in the very appealing, very detailed images of scenes from each country. It is a fabulous way of introducing different cultures to kids. Every time we look through Mouk we discover something new!

This is a book I can read again and again, which is lucky as it gets requested very often…

We love it too! Everytime we open it – after we made sure sure the old favourites are still there – we discover something we had not seen before. Very nice indeed, the only downside? My daugther’s tears everytime I tell her it is too big to take with us when we travel….

We just bought this book – and love it too! (My 2 year old, my 5 year old and me). Does anyone know if there are any other MOUK-books? (Or, other books by the same author/artist similar to this one?)
