Like-a-bike Trailer

Likeabike trailerIt was my son’s 4th birthday last weekend, and with all our family in town following the birth of our baby girl, I have to admit that his birthday crept up on us and we weren’t at all prepared.  The day before his birthday we panicked as we realized we didn’t even have a present to give him!  Lucky for us we discovered the LIKEaBIKE trailer in a store in Notting Hill as we were strolling around the neighborhood.  I didn’t even know there was a trailer for the LIKEaBIKE, but we feel like we struck gold!

My son is completely obsessed with his LIKEaBIKE, and the trailer is the most perfect addition.  It hooks on and off easily, works like a charm, and allows him to collect his sticks and stones (and other fine treasures) as he rides his bike through the park.

You should have seen the looks he received this past weekend while we were out riding in the Heath — you would have thought he drove a fancy Porche into the park!

Hope your son had a very happy birthday. I can see why he loved his trailer it is great. We have been looking at a like-a-bike but my husband thinks our daughter being 2.5 years is a little young for it. I also think he is still struggling with the no peddal idea.
Can I ask how old your son was when you got your bike?

This is darling! I can’t wait for my little one to be old enough to ride around with this in tow….

Hi Maraka,
We LOVE the Like-a-bikes! Both my boys have one. They both started riding them when they turned two. My youngest son only just turned two in April and he’s already a pro on his bike! So 2.5 is definitely not too young!!

My son also started on the like-a-bike when he was two, although he is tall and was just barely big enough for it. But by 2 1/2 was a pro already. also helped him transition to a real bike very quickly! http://www.baroquebabies.com/2009/04/from-running-bike-to-pedal-bike.html I didn’t know they made trailers, he is already only into his ‘pedal’ bike, but perhaps when little brother is ready for the like-a-bike, he would like a trailer.
