Knuffle Bunny

knuffle.jpgKnuffle Bunny is the number one hit book in our household at the moment, and so it should be. The story is super cute: Trixie drags along her Knuffle Bunny to go to the laundromat with her dad. Knuffle Bunny gets left behind and she tries and tries to tell her dad what is going on but he just does not get it…. Trixie’s world collapses until finally her mom realises what is wrong and Knuffle Bunny is successfully found.

I love Mo Willems’ style. Lovely black and white photos of New York make up the subtle backgrounds and let the really cute, simply-coloured illustrations really stand out. If you have time, check out Mo Willems’ website. It has great little games to play, a list of all of his books and characters and lots more.

My 2yr old daughter LOVES all the Mo Willems books! I think the Gerald & Piggy series is especially funny as you can put such emotions into the characters as the text is minimal and the illustrations speak for themselves

My husband just read “Leonardo the Terrible Monster” to the kids tonight! I had no idea he was the same guy who did all the Pigeon books…

We will definitely check out Knuffle Bunny!
