For a rainy day

anim.jpgIt was my daughter’s third birthday recently and she got a lot of fabulous presents. One stood out particularly and I stashed it away for a rainy day, which was a good thing, as there have been many rainy days this freezing, cold January.

The Animodulos by Mitik are perfect for an afternoon of creativity. The pack comes with 13 white cardboard animals, which are easily assembled into 3D toys. You can then let your imagination run free when painting and decorating them.

Though the Animodulos are the only toys I have tried out on the Mitik website, they have a great selection of self assembly toys for all age groups.

Unfortunately the website is currently only in French but here is the link to the list of shops that stock their products worldwide.

When my children are invited to birthday parties, animodolus (which you can find at the Conran shop in London) is a regular present they offer to their little friends. It has always been a big success included with the mums!
The other one my children absolutely love is the totem cardboard construction set (from Little Fashion Gallery), they both spend hours playing with their sets and mixing them! Great game in my book!

My son got these for Christmas from my friend Sally a couple years ago. I put them away in my arts & crafts cabinet because I didn’t think he would appreciate them at the time. I MUST go find them. I’m sure he would love them now!
