Danish design for babies

rattle2.jpgrattle.jpgOne of the cutest gifts my baby girl has received so far was a present from our friend, Kim. It’s a lovely Maileg rattle — we have the princess.
Maileg is a Danish design company that creates seasonal decorations for Christmas and Easter and a small collection of toys, accessories and clothing for children.
The rattles are soft, make a lovely sound, and are the perfect size for tiny hands.  They are cleverly crafted with carefully chosen organic cotton fabric. They look like they were handmade in a tailor boutique with stylish cloth remnants. The whole range is so cute — I wish I could get some more.
Unfortunately they are not sold in Italy, but you can find them in the US and most parts of Europe. In London you can buy them at Elias and Grace.

I’ve seen a British guard one before, and it’s too cute!

And Esther, I saw these in a shop over in that area of Amsterdam where the restaurant, Pancakes! is. Do you remember them?

These rattles are so fine, i found the whole collection online at designerleg.dk – as I can tell it’s a maileg concept store, but they do send worldwide… :-)
