Wash your hands please!

molton.jpgThere is something that posh restaurants in the UK have in common with private medical practices and British Airways business class. They all have Molton Brown hand wash in their restrooms.
I discovered them while living in London and now whenever I find one around the world the smell sends me back to lovely memories.
My favourite is their signature scent naran ji. With a nice citrus smell of orange and grapefruit, it cleans, deodorises and protects the skin. It’s a soap-less wash with natural bactericides that suits everyone, including cooks and gardeners. But I have to say I like thai vert too, and was recently favourably impressed by white mulberry.
They are all nice — quite a treat for your hands! And if you really want to indulge you can get the matching hand lotion… now that’s luxury!

It’s so true- Molton Brown is so quintessentially British. It was something I noticed right away when we first moved here!

So funny. A friend of mine came to visit from London last week and what did she bring as a present? Molton Brown’s Naran Ji hand wash and hand cream. I love it!

I am partial to Thai Vert which is kept in my kitchen but I have the Naran Ji room spray in the bathroom. They used to make one called Air of Joy, but they discontinued it much to my chagrin.

Too bad British Airways dumped Molton Brown for Elemis! I too LOVE the MB stuff and I’ve had it in my home for ages. I’ll miss it on those long transatlantic flights…always was a nice touch of luxury, especially after on-board nappy changes!

I love Molton Brown except naran ji. I can’t stand the smell of it it reminds me of cheap sun lotion. I love the rest though and back in the day when I got to stay in fancy hotels for work I always stashed the little bottles of Molton Brown in my suitcase to take home :o )
