Tapete iron-on fun!
March 3rd, 2008
I’m secretly a great fan of crafty bloggers, like monda-loves… kup kup land… cupcakes for clara… elsie marley… syko, or scrap a bee… (there are so many great ones out there). I just love looking at them, and dreaming away… And I do get so inspired. It’s just – where do I find the time for all these crafts?
But in the past few days I have been working on a little something. Ahum. It’s nothing as cute as the stuff I see on the real crafters’ blogs, but I made an effort!
Reason for all this activity is Tapete’s iron-on kits. Judith sent me 2 kits to try out: a green deer called ‘Karl’ and a glittery silver car with the name ‘Glossy Gentleman’.
Of course I could have ironed them on a onesie, but I felt I had to come up with something a little more original. So, after lying next to me on my desk for a couple of weeks (sorry, Judith), I finally came up with the idea of making a collage on an old pillowcase!
What do you think? They came out quite nice, I find! I only used leftover pieces of fabric, old yarn and buttons…
If you want to give it a go, you can buy the iron-on kits at Tapete. They have a great selection of the cutest images available! They come with very clear instructions, and are extremely easy to use. I am definitely going to order more and make more collages! But you can also just iron them on a onesie (or curtains, bed sheets, T-shirts, etc.)…
NOTE: If you order 2 iron-on kits and quote ‘babyccino‘ in the ‘comments’ box at check-out, Judith will send you a third surprise iron-on kit for free! (She ships internationally).

This is SO stinken’ cute. I think you ARE as good as the ‘real’ craft bloggers… I am so impressed with your creativity!
And speaking of those other bloggers… those sites are all so cute! How have I never known about these? How inspiring!

So fun! One of my goals this year is to be more crafty. And I have to agree, you are just as crafty as all the others. What darling pillow cases.

Thanks, all of you! But you’re giving me too much credit – it was easy! You can do it too, I swear!
