A nice cuppa!
Years ago my sister-in-law gave me this fantastic product: the Eva Solo ‘tea-maker’ (I just call it a tea-pot). It has proven to be one of those ‘where did you get that?’ items. (When it broke, I was broke too, so my friend Kim gave me number two for my birthday)!
It is quite ingenious (it’s not a coincidence that it has won so many design prizes)! You can use it in two different ways: For tea with tannin: you put the leaves in the filter, and once the tea has brewed for long enough, press the plunger down to stop it from getting bitter. For herbal tea or tea without tannin: you should put the leaves straight in the glass flask so they can swim freely in the water and the tea can infuse optimally. The filter will prevent the leaves from ending up in your cup.
But that’s not all. It pours without dripping. Guaranteed. It is nice and big (1 liter). And it comes with an adorable cover, either in bold neoprene with a big zipper or in a cosy knit. This ‘tea-shirt’ not only keeps the tea hot, it also protects your hands and the table from the heat.
All the parts are dishwasher-proof, except the tea-shirt (but that you can machine wash at 30°, or hand wash).
It’s not cheap, but I’m telling you: it’s SO worth the money (or ask for it for your birthday)! In the Netherlands you can get it here.

I’ve wanted one of these since the first time I saw yours!! Now that you’ve given me all the details, I’m going to buy one for sure!!
Although I gave a new tea pot of Eva Solo to Esther, she was the one introducing it to me. They are so cool and do a great job, I also have the matching coffee pot, which I also use on a daily base. I think they are also a great stylish present to give to people and I just discovered and bought for a friend a new version of the neoprene zipper version in gorgeous raspberry red! They also sell now a watercaraf with the same neoprene cover to keep it cool during hot days. My buys of Eva Solo definetely hasn’t stopped at the tea & coffee pot, the future will bring some more of her goodies to our kitchen, I am sure!

After going to Esther’s for a playdate one morning I HAD to have the teapot also! I bought mine from the finnish design store and it was 90 euros total including delivery.
